Meet Team Witsken Pros & Staff
Rick Witsken - Tennis Professional
Rick, the seventh of eight children of Bud and Marilyn Witsken, was a two-time Indiana state champion in singles and was one of four siblings to earn full tennis scholarships to a Division I school. At the University of Alabama, Rick was a two-time All-American, reaching the No. 1 doubles ranking in the country.
Rick was world-ranked on the ATP Tour in both singles and doubles. He began his post-playing career working with his brother, Todd Witsken, at the Indianapolis Tennis Center, serving as tennis director and coach of the IUPUI men’s tennis team. He also was director of tennis at Woodstock Country Club for seven years.
Rick still loves to compete – he’s ranked No. 1 in the U.S. in 40-and-over singles and doubles and has competed multiple times for Team USA. He’s also a Top 10 player in the U.S. in pickleball singles and doubles. Rick is the proud father to three children Brittany, Peyton and Colin whom all play tennis.

PA Nilhagen - Tennis Professional
PA Nilhagen is well known in international and national tennis circles as a master technician, motivator, and a man of personal integrity. In more than 40 years of teaching, he has developed a system (www.thepasystem.com) of training the whole player based on accountability, responsibility and independence.
He has developed more Indiana high school state champions than any other coach, and is perhaps most proud of the fact that more than 500 of his students have gone on to play college tennis.
A number of his players have also moved into the professional playing ranks, including Todd Witsken, Ginny Purdy and Stephanie Reece Hunn. PA has been recognized as the Midwest Coach of the Year, won the CITA Stan Malless Award, served on the USTA National Coaches Commission and has traveled to all the grand slams as a coach. Nancy was born and raised in Mexico City. She was on the gymnastics National Team, and qualified for World Championships (Olympic qualifier), but international travel was halted due to political reasons 2 weeks before attending Worlds, so she did not get to compete. Nevertheless, she received an athletic scholarship to Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, where she received her BA in Foreign Language and International Trade. She completed a Marketing Research internship in France, and began her graduated studies in French upon her return. She then switched gears, and obtained a BS in Clinical Laboratory Science (University of Central Oklahoma), and now works as a Microbiologist at Mid America Clinical Laboratories. She is currently completing an internship in Kinesiology at Ball State University (through Team Witsken), and will finish her Master’s degree in July, 2019. Nancy coached gymnastics for 7 years and she now coaches tennis at Zionsville Middle School and Team Witsken. She also plays tennis and participates in local and USTA leagues. She has 2 children who attended Zionsville Community Schools and competed in different sports, and are now in college. Nancy loves sports, coaching, and making a positive impact in the athletes she coaches, in and out the field. She is also fluent in 3 languages, and loves traveling and learning from all cultures.
